CURRICULUM
After graduating in scenography from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts (Milan), he dedicated himself to the world of theater as a set designer, assistant director and to musical journalism, specializingin opera and musicals. At the same time, he carries on decades of experience for children’s theater and teaching.
In 2012 he returned to his first love: directing. Debuting with L’elisir d’amore by G. Donizetti and after the Italian debut, the international one immediately came with La Cenerentola by G. Rossini in Brazil, in Sao Paulo. Subsequently in Brescia, for an educational project at the Teatro Grande he staged Gianni Schicchi by G. Puccini, for this work he received the “Filippo Sienbaneck – Premio Abbiati della critica“. At the beginning of 2017, in collaboration with the Beccaria Juvenile Prison in Milan, he created BEAUTIFUL, RICH and… BAD! (educational theater project with prisoners for primary schools in collaboration with Edizione Curci and SIAE) winning the “Filippo Sienbaneck – Premio Abbiati della critica” 2017.
In 2018 debuts in New York with L’ape musicale by L. Da Ponte and opens the season of the Teatro Verdi in Trieste with I Puritani by V. Bellini.
Lately he has brought Ernani on stage at the Teatro Lirico in Cagliari and Suor Angelica in Lima for the Italian Cultural Institute. He recently inaugurated the Il Belcanto Ritrovato Festival in Pesaro with La Cecchina (Generali) and the season opening with Lakme at the Opera Royale de Wallonie in Liège and made his debut at the Teatro Real in Madrid with Aida and the same title later in Cairo. In 2024 the debut with Gounod‘s Faust at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan with the Japan Opera Foundation. Aida Sand Art for the Arena di Verona Foundation is the latest project that will open a new three-year path for the Arena Young part.
