Ilina Mitrevska is a 23-year-old Macedonian soprano who graduated from the “Giuseppe Tartini” Conservatory in Trieste under the guidance of acclaimed soprano Paoletta Marrocu. Her musical journey began at the Arts and Music High School in Skopje, Macedonia, where she studied with Gonca Bogoromova Krapovski. During this formative period, she had the privilege of being mentored by some of her country’s most distinguished opera figures, including Ana Durlovski, Gjorgji Cuckovski and Slavica Petrovska Galic.
Mitrevska has performed on stages throughout Macedonia and the Balkan region, appearing in major festivals such as the Skopje Summer Festival, Sounds of the Bazaar and Jeunesses Musicales Macedonia. Her artistic training has been enriched by participating in numerous masterclasses with internationally renowned masters including Nicholas Isherwood, Fiorenza Cedolins, Rame Lahaj, Alessandro Valentini, Blagoj Nacovski, and Lorenzo Ragazzo.
She has collaborated with the Bulgarian Youth Orchestra and the Macedonian Philharmonic, performing recitals in various cities, including Rome as part of the Concerti del Tempietto festival, as well as in Trieste, Tuscany, Skopje and the Cultural Center of Sofia.
Of particular significance are her two recitals held in the historic Church of Saint Sophia in Ohrid.
Ilina Mitrevska’s talent has been recognized in numerous international competitions, where she has won first, second, and third prizes, including: Lazar Jovanovic Competition, The Balkan Romance Song Festival, Polyhymnia, Art-In Macedonia, Neapolitan Masters, Città di Belluno, and she also reached the semifinals at SOI Fiorenza Cedolins and Toti dal Monte.
She performed as Dido in the opera Dido & Aeneas at the Verdi Theater in Muggia, a production of the Tartini Conservatory, and in 2023 she played the role of The Miller’s Wife in the world premiere of Marco Podda‘s opera L’Oro del Diavolo at the Verdi Theater in Trieste.
