Hilary Aeschliman is a Swiss-American soprano born in Lugano, Switzerland. She graduated in 2021 from the Royal College of Music in London. While studying there, she was able to work with and learn from great conductors such as Vasily Petrenko and Esa Pekka-Salonen, and sing on various occasions at the Royal Festival Hall and the Basilique de Saint Denis in Paris with the Philarmonia Orchestra. She participated in masterclasses with renowned singers, such as baritone Leo Nucci and soprano Fiorenza Cedolins.
After completing her studies in London she started working with the Coro della Radiotelevisione Svizzera and their conductor Diego Fasolis. She performed in multiple concerts and operas in Switzerland and Italy, together with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana and I Barocchisti.
On June 27th, 2024 Hilary debuted the role of Musetta in Puccini‘s La Bohème in a special abridged version with Grisha Asagaroff‘s staging. This event was in honour of Puccini’s centenary, and was held at the Battistero Paleocristiano of Nocera Superiore.
On September 18th, 2024, as part of the sacred music festival “Anima Mundi“, Hilary will be singing the soprano solo in Pergolesi‘s Stabat Mater at the Cathedral in the Campo Santo of Pisa.
