Lina Malgieri, born on February 3, 1998, in Cerreto Sannita (BN), obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Opera Singing in 2019, graduating with highest honors (110 cum laude). Subsequently, she furthered her musicological studies by enrolling at Sapienza University of Rome, graduating in Musicology in 2022 with another highest honors degree (110 cum laude).

In addition to her university studies, Lina has participated in numerous international masterclasses with prominent masters in the opera world, including Rosa Feola, Sergio Vitale, Elisabetta Fiorillo, and Marcelo Alvarez. She is currently studying under maestro Mara Naddei.

This constant dedication has earned her numerous recognitions and awards in national and international competitions. Among her most significant awards are the 1st Prize at the VI International Music Performance CompetitionCittà di Baronissi” (April 2024), the 1st Absolute Prize at the Mediterranean Music Competition of Sannicandro di Bari (May 2024), the Antonio Sallustio Award for the best performance of an aria from G. Puccini and G. Verdi‘s repertoire with a score of 100/100 cum laude (May 2024), 1st Prize at the IV International Music Competition Nocera (May 2024), and the 1st Absolute Prize at the T.Y.M International Music Competition with a score of 100/100 (July 2024).

Winner of the role of Micaela at the International CompetitionCuore d’Oro” sponsored by the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation, with president Nicoletta Mantovani (June 2024), for which she performed at the Summer Grand Concert at Villa Mascolo on June 3, 2024, with the orchestra conducted by maestro Ivano Caiazza, and on July 6, 2024, in Modena at the Luciano Pavarotti House Museum.

She has had the opportunity to perform on both Italian and foreign stages, participating in the summer 2022 productions at the Arena di Verona, where she took part in Traviata, Carmen, Nabucco, Aida, and Turandot as a choir artist. As a soloist, in 2022 she participated in the Verdian concert at the Teatro Verdi in Busseto, accompanied by Maestro Simone Marziali, director and collaborative pianist. In April 2023, she was selected for the gala evening organized in honor of the Italian Ambassador to Ukraine, Pier Francesco Zazo.

She has taken her talent beyond Italian borders, participating in notable performances at the National Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Her most recent engagements include the “Vissi d’arte” concert organized by the Benevento Philharmonic Orchestra and the “Petali di note” concert at the Teatro Comunale of Benevento, for which she was specifically chosen by conductor Claudio Ciampa to perform his original compositions.
