CURRICULUM
Victor Sporyshev was born in Moscow in 1988.
He began his musical journey at the age of 7 in Moscow’s civic school as a pianist. In 2007, he entered the Russian University of Theatrical Arts in Moscow, where he started studying lyrical singing.
He debuted in 2009 in the role of Masetto (Mozart’s Don Giovanni) on the university theater stage under the direction of V. Agronskiy. In the years 2010-2012, he performs in the roles of Seneca (Monteverdi’s Coronation of Poppea) and Sarastro (Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte) at the Stanislavskij and Nemirovich-Danchenko Lyric Theater under the direction of V. Agronskiy.
From 2012, he continues to improve his skills at the “Claudio Abbado” Civic School in Milan with Maestro Vincenzo Manno. In 2013, he debuted in Italy in the role of Geronimo (Cimarosa’s Secret Marriage) on the La Creta theater stage.
In 2015, he performs as a solo bass in Mozart‘s Requiem at the San Marco Basilica in Milan under the direction of Massimo Fiocchi. In the same year, he performed the role of the doctor in Verdi‘s La Traviata at the Filodrammatici Theater in Milan.
In October 2015, he performed the role of Fra Christoforo in Ponchielli‘s The Betrothed under the direction of Marco Pace at the Verdi Hall in Milan. In 2016, he sang the role of second armiger in Mozart‘s Die Zauberflöte with Peter Stein‘s direction and Adam Fisher‘s conducting at La Scala. In October 2016, he debuted in the role of Masimiliano in Verdi‘s I Masnadieri at the Verdi Theater in Busseto’s “Verdi Festival” with Leo Muscato‘s direction and Simon Krecic‘s conducting. In 2017, he sang the role of Don Basilio in Rossini‘s The Barber of Seville with AsLiCo.
In 2021, he debuted in the role of Old Player in Prokofiev‘s The Gambler at the Stanislavskij and Nemirovich-Danchenko Lyric Theater (Moscow) under the direction of Arif Dadashev. After intense vocal technique refinement and numerous participations in various Opera Festivals like the Sigriswil International Opera Festival, in 2024 Victor makes his debut in the role of the Grand Inquisitor in Verdi‘s Don Carlo at the Riga Opera Theater.
